SSP Investigation Lahore Police Zulfiqar Hameed awarded punishments to 14 police officers on charges of corruption, faulty investigation, misuse of power and negligence which included reduction in rank, forfeiture in service, withholding of promotion, reduction in pay, withholding of increment, and censure and fine.
The punishments were awarded to 10 SIs and 4 ASIs. According to details, SSP Investigation awarded punishments of compulsory retirement to SI Muhammad Aslam, reduction in rank to Liaqat Ali from SI to ASI for a period of two years, forfeiture of two years approved service to SI Munawar Hussain, forfeiture of two years service to SI Muhammad Aslam, and withholding of promotion for one year to SI Muhammad Ansar. He awarded Rs 1000 fine to SI Liaqat Ali, withholding of two annual increments to SI Muhammad Aslam, reduction in rank to Muhammad Yousaf from ASI to HC for one year, censure to SI Imran Khan and Nazir Ahmed, censure to ASI Munir Ahmed, and warning to ASI Aman-u-Ullah and Ehsan-ul-Haq.
