173rd meeting of SU syndicate held

The 173rd syndicate meeting of the University of Sindh was held here on Saturday. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal. The syndicate meeting approved to award BS-21 to Muhammad Hussain Shaikh for his services for planning and development of the varsity.
The syndicate meeting also approved the recommendations of the varsity's selection board meeting. The meeting while approving the formation of "Vice Chancellor's Executive Council" appreciated the academic reforms introduced by the VC through the executive council. The meeting also appreciated the efforts of the VC for resolving of old land dispute between the University of Sindh, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS).
The meeting congratulated Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal for his appointment as Vice Chancellor of the varsity for the second time and expressed hope that under his dynamic leadership, the varsity would achieve academic excellence and high glory in the field of higher education and research.
The meeting was attended by Dr Haji Mahmood Memon, MPA Dr Sikandar Shoro, Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar, Dr Fahmida Hussain Memon, Nazar Muhammad Shaikh, Dr Altaf Hussain Syed, Dr Anwar Ali Shah, Dr Abdullah Dayo, Professor Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Professor Syed Ghafar Shah, Professor Khalid Noor Panhwar, Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, Professor Intizar Ali Lashari and others.
