Sarhad Industrial Employers' Association has demanded the issuance of fresh SRO for inclusion of district Nowshera in the category-B of the Prime Minister's Relief Package for economic revival of the terrorism affected areas of the province. The demand was made in a meeting of the association held at Associated Industries, Amangarh; district Nowshera with president, Omar Khalid Waheed in the chair.
Those who attended were included vice president, Fazal Wadood Khan, Fasih-ul-Haq (general secretary) Arif Raza Qureshi (Deputy GM Cherat Cement), Mohammad Ashfaq Paracha (President, Industrial Estate Risalpur) Shaukat Ali Khan (Premier Sugar Mills, Mardan) and Iftikharullah Khan.
The association thanked the provincial government in general and federal government in particular for inclusion of the industrial units of district Nowshera in the category-B of the Prime Minister's package. However, they called for issuance of proper notification regarding the extension of the incentives of category-B of the package to the units of the district.
The association expressed deep concern over the heavy power loadshedding, saying that the terrorism had already brought the industrial sector on the verge of collapse and they were below their capacity, while the electricity loadshedding is playing havoc with the industries of the province.
