The Karachi Port handled 95,382 tonnes of cargo including 80,218 tonnes of import cargo; 15,164 tonnes of export cargo and 1,261 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 80,218 tonnes comprised of 9,430 tonnes of containerised cargo; 510 tonnes of bulk cargo; 9,200 tonnes of coal; 1,900 tonnes of rock phosphate and 59,178 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 15,164 tonnes comprised of 5,289 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,248 tonnes of bulk cargo; 2,845 tonnes of cement and 5,782 tonnes of bulk cement. Five ships namely Bunga Raya Satu, MSC Anafi, Sea Lark, Al-Batros and Kota Handal sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz MSC Anafi, Al-Batros, Khorfakkan, Merian, Kota Handal and Al-Wajba are currently at the berths. One ship namely Sattar expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Merian and Khorfakkan are expected to sail on Thursday. Five vessels viz Bow Sky, Bunga Raya Lima, Cap Gabriel, Glory Moon and Bsle Tresa due to arrive on Wednesday, while five ships namely Morning Haruka, Hyundai General, Arnis, Kota Singa and Ulusoy-8 are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 63,972 tonnes of cargo includes 57,355 tonnes of import cargo; 6,617 tonnes of export cargo and 1,208 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 57,355 tonnes includes 24,776 tonnes of furnace oil; 6,667 tonnes of palm oil; 12,517 tonnes of chemicals and 13,395 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 6,617 tonnes includes 789 tonnes of rice; 2,048 tonnes of cement and 3,780 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Container ship namely CV Nedlloyd Asia sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MT Pushpa Wati, CV Saudi Hofuf and MT Al-Kuwaitiah are expected to sail on Wednesday. Nine vessels viz CV Nedlloyd Asia, CV Saudi Hofuf, MPP Arrow, Pacific Express, MV Wales-II, SC Donghai, Emerald Park, MT Al-Kuwaitiah and MT Pushpa Wati are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Iron Monger-III, CMA CGM Jade, Ikaruga, Alexi-1 and Wawasan Ruby carrying furnace oil, containers, cement and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Jade, CV Ikaruga and MT Iron Monger-III carrying containers and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Four ships namely NYK Kai, CSAV Cantabrian, Nostos and BBC Scandinavia carrying containers, furnace oil and project cargo are due to arrive.
