Engineers should work with devotion for the maintenance and upkeep of the power station for its reliable and efficient operation to meet the challenges of prevailing power crisis in the country. The Wapda Member (Power) Muhammad Qasim Khan stated this on his first visit to Mangla power station after assuming the charge of his office.
His visit to Mangla was blended with sentiments as he had started his career from Mangla Power Station in 1974. During his visit, he held an interactive meeting with the engineers of power station, listening to their problems and sharing his experiences and memories with the engineers. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed upon the capacity building of the engineers an emphasised to develop their technical potential through seminars and interaction with engineers of other power stations.
He assured the engineers to play his role for improvement in their service structure and facilities. Member (Power) also had a round of powerhouse, including transformers area, machine hall and power station control room and appreciated the general upkeep and maintenance of the plant.
