Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has announced highest civil award for Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Reforms (PCCR) on accomplishment of an impossible task with consensus. Addressing the Senate after the passage of the 18th Constitutional Amendment Bill, Prime Minister praised the Committee for completing an arduous job with consensus to restore the original 1973 Constitution by repealing amendments dictators made time and again.
Gilani requested the Senator and Advisor to Prime Minister Mian Raza Rabbani to head the implementation Committee on Balochistan package for early implementation of the steps announced in letter and spirit. PM said that next big achievement of the parliament would be the consensus approval of the Accountability Bill. "We are bringing accountability bill which would also be approved with consensus by both the Houses of the Parliament," he added.
