Some unscrupulous elements disrupted the peaceful environment of the Hazara Division for gaining political mileage, resulting in loss of several precious lives, said Senior Vice President Awami National Party (ANP) Senator, Haji Adeel in an exclusive talk with Business Recorder, here on Thursday.
Adeel said that it was saddening to note that these handful disgruntled people had turned the gleeful atmosphere into tears as the whole nation was celebrating the passage of 18th amendment, which was a good omen for democracy. "ANP is always ready to play its role in normalising the situation in the country including Hazara division whenever needed", said Adeel.
Chief of ANP, Asfandyar Wali has said that the reservations of the people of Hazara region with regard to Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa would be removed soon. Speaking outside the Parliament House, he said, "It is our internal problem and will be settled taking all stakeholders on board".
Responding to a question, Wali said his party had contacted the political parties of Hazara and their reservations over the issue will be satisfactorily addressed. He further said that the existing problems could be resolved through the parliamentary reforms committee. Expressing his deep concern over the loss of precious lives in Hazara Division in recent days, Wali said that dialogue was the solution of every problem and was hopeful that the situation would return to normalcy soon.
