The Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif here Thursday disposed of suo motu proceedings against the rape and murder of a minor girl Alishba Parveen as District Police Officer (DPO) informed the court that they have arrested the accused.
The DPO, appearing before the court, had submitted that they have arrested the accused Salman. At this, the chief justice directed him to complete the investigation and submit challan before the court of law. The CJ on April 14 took suo motu notice on a news item published in local press about killing of a four-year old girl Alishba after criminal assault and snatching of dead body of the girl from the protesters by Ferozwala police.
