President's Spokesman Farhatullah Babar expressed satisfaction over the UN Commission's report regarding the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, saying that formal response would be given after thorough study of the report. He said that the report has clearly placed responsibility on the previous government of Pervez Musharraf and exonerated President Asif Ali Zardari and the family.
He said that the report has given direction to the investigation that was being done by the government and its pace would be further hastened. The report, he said, has also pointed out that the scope of early investigation was limited due to negligence of the previous government.
