Punjab Information Technology Minister Farooq Yousuf Ghurki has said that all resources are being utilised for providing modern healthcare, sanitation and communication facilities to the people and many development projects are being executed in this regard. He expressed these views after inaugurating construction work of a road adjacent to Ferozpur Road and Hudiara drain here on Friday. MNA Tariq Shahbir was also present on the occasion.
He said the construction of 16-km long road will fulfil the long-standing demand of the people of the area and they will have modern transport facilities. "The Prime Minister has released a special grant for the construction of the road, which will cost Rs 580 million and the government has already released Rs 50 million for this purpose," he added. He said the road would connect Ferozpur Road to Baidian and resolve the transport problems of people of the area. The minister reiterated that provision of the modern transport facility to the people is the priority of the government.
