Jinnah Abadi Scheme: 255,024 five-marla plots to be distributed among landless people
Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that under Jinnah Abadi Scheme, 255,024 five-Marla plots will be distributed among the land less deserving people of the rural areas. He said that TMOs concerned would also make a developmental plan for the Jinnah Abadi Scheme in the concerned Tehsils.
The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has constituted provincial supervisory board under the chairmanship of Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa. At district level, district monitoring committee and Tehsil allotment committee have also been constituted for this purpose.
Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that elected representatives have been included in the provincial supervisory board and they will be consulted at each level for the transparent distribution of plots among the deserving people. He expressed these views, while presiding over the meeting of provincial supervisory board for allotment of plots under Jinnah Abadi Schemes.
MPA Muhammad Waris Kallu, Rana Abdur Rehman, Dr Farrukh Javed, Awais Qasim Khan, Rana Muhammad Ashraf, Mian Muhammad Rafique, Muhammad Yaqoob Nadeem Sethi and Karam Dad Wahla MPAs attended the meeting besides Chief Secretary, SMBR, Members Colonies, Secretary Information, Additional Secretaries of Local Government and Chief Minister's Secretariat attended the meeting.
Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that 5 percent of the total plots shall be allotted to the legal heirs of Shuhada of Armed Forces and Police who lay down their lives in discharge of official duties during the recent war against terrorism. Each Shaheed will be eligible for allotment of two plots.
The provincial supervisory board will provide guidelines to the allotment committee and district monitoring committee for smooth implementation of the scheme, to supervise the procedure of allotment being carried out by allotment committees and ensure that there is no deviation from the laid down procedures, to see that the plots are allotted to deserving persons in a fair, transparent and impartial manner, to act as a supervisory body for the mechanism put in place for dispute resolution, to ensure that various time lines for allotment of plots are being adhered to, Khosa concluded.
