Pakistan People's Party (PPP) General Secretary and Senator Jahangir Badr endorsed UN inquiry commission report and asked former president General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) to come back and face the allegations. Badr was talking to media after appearing before an accountability court in two references against him. He said Musharraf being the then head of state was responsible of Benazir Bhutto's murder.
Badr said Benazir Bhutto was an international personality and all wanted her killers exposed and punished. Replying to a media query, he said, Major General Rashid Qureshi (Retd) should also be interrogated in BB's murder case. Meanwhile, the accountability court adjourned till April 24 hearings of references against Jahangir Badr.
In one reference Badar was accused of misusing his authority by illegally allowing various people to set up 61 petrol stations of Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Second reference was filed in 2003, accusing him of accumulating illegal assets disproportionate to his known sources of income during his tenure as a federal minister.
