18th amendment passage termed landmark achievement

Provincial Minister for Finance, Planning & Development, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that the government has fulfilled its promise with the passage of 18th amendment. All the leaders of the political parties showed political wisdom and maturity in this connection.
While talking to a group of journalists at his office here Saturday, the minister said the 18th amendment bill is a historic achievement in the political and parliamentary history of Pakistan and the government has eliminated the amendments introduced during various dictators, with consensus.
Kaira said Pakistan has entered into a new era after the approval of bill from Parliament. Constitutional committee presented a comprehensive bill in the parliament within 9 months after complete consultation with all political parties, which is a very positive and historic achievement, he said.
