The Ministry of Industries and Production here on Saturday constituted a committee for the protection against harassment of women workers. The committee has been constituted in the compliance of the Prime Minister's directives for implementation of 'Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplaces Act 2010.'
The committee would address the complaints of sexual harassment (if any) as per law and when any complaint is received by the committee from any female worker of the ministry, said a press statement issued here. Joint Secretary Administration, Tahir Ali Shah has been designated as Chairman of the three-member committee and Deputy Secretary Investment, Muhammad Irfan Khan Jadoon and Section Officer, Sadia Kanwal, as its members.
