The provincial capital is still in the grip of hot weather on Saturday, as for the on-going summer season the mercury touched a new level for the month of April. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department Lahore, the maximum temperature recorded was 44 Celsius degrees and the minimum temperature was 24.5 Celsius degrees.
The daytime temperature is inching towards all time record of 46 Celsius degrees for the month of April, recorded in 1941. For the last few days, the temperatures have been hovering in the 40s, making the days very hot and unbearable for the people. However, the met office has forecast cloudy weather with chances of dust thunderstorm for Sunday, which might provide some respite from sizzling weather in Lahore.
