18th Amendment Bill: signing ceremony not attended by Fazl, Shujaat, 17 judges
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and 17 judges of Supreme Court did not participate in the signing ceremony of 18th Amendment. It was observed that some of the key political leaders and members of judiciary were not present in the 18th Amendment Bill ceremony to be signed by the President.
Reliable sources told Business Recorder that they were invited officially by the President House to attend the historic ceremony held on passage of 18th Amendment Bill, 2010 but they did not bother to attend it. Some political analysts were of the view that Chaudhry Shujaat was angry on renaming of the NWFP and loss of life in Hazara. Shujaat was of the view that such a small issue should not be used for gaining political mileage at the cost of people's lives.
