The District Development Committee (DDC) approved 75 development schemes of education, health and roads sectors, which would be completed at a cost of Rs 53.5 million. This approval was given in a meeting of the committee, which held here under the chairmanship of DCO Saeed Wahlah. The meeting approved the two uplift schemes of higher education for setting up IT lab and construction of academic block in different colleges at a cost of Rs 13.2 million.
The meeting was informed that Rs 20 million would be spent for the provision of furniture in the schools while Rs 6.2 million had been allocated for five development schemes of improvement of dispensaries and BHUs. The DCO directed the executing agencies to launch these development schemes without any delay and all technical and administrative requirements should also be fulfilled while awarding the work order.
