Ranging from $1.3160 to $1.3060, the lowest intraday level for the second-position contract since March 16. Futures bounced off a five-week low after hitting technical support, said traders.
July raw sugar surged 0.59 cent, or 3.7 percent, to 16.77 cents per lb by 11:09 am. Range from 16.20 cents to 16.90 cents. Sugar up on investor short-covering coming off Friday's sell-off, but spot contract trading on an inside-day basis amid light business, said traders.
