All civil, criminal and sessions cases (including part-heard cases) of Fateh Jang sub-division have been transferred from district headquarter Attock to the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Feteh Jang, Syed Ali Abbas. The Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice here on Tuesday informed this to a delegation of Fateh Jang and Nankana Sahib bar associations.
CJ informed the delegation that LHC was adopting extraordinary measures for the provision of justice for the far-flung areas of the province. In this connection, one post of AD&SJ is transferred from the district headquarter Attock to Fateh Jang to facilitate the litigants of the areas. Under this scheme AD&SJ Syed Ali Abbas has been transferred from Attock to Fateh Jang who will assume charge at his new place of posting on or before April 22 while his existing tour from Attock to Fateh Jang has been discontinued forthwith.
CJ also informed the delegation that under the guidance of Chief Justice Pakistan a comprehensive plan has been chalked out for providing better working environment in the district courts in Punjab. Under this programme, efforts are afoot to equip the courts with generators, UPS and allied gadgets ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the courts at the time of loadshedding and this project would be completed by June 15 next.
