The interrelation and co-operation among all law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are imperative for playing an effective role in maintaining law and order in the country besides brining the crime rate to the lowest ebb, County Director, Search for Common Grounds (SFCG), Ali Saleem said here on Tuesday.
Islamabad Police is a role model for other law enforcement agencies in the country, as it has attained many milestones of people friendly and modern policing, Ali Saleem said while talking on the weekly programme of FM radio of Islamabad Police, "An Hour with a Guest", on Tuesday.
On the direction of IGP Islamabad, Syed Kaleem Imam, a special programme "An Hour with a Guest" has been started for capacity building of police officers wherein an experienced personality is being invited to deliver a lecture to police officers of Islamabad.
On Tuesday a programme was arranged in MPRC ITP which was attended by IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam, DIG Security Dr Mujeeb ur Rehman, AIG Special Branch Haleena Iqbal Saeed, Acting SSP Traffic Mirvais Niaz, SP Investigation Saqib Sultan, All DSPs, SHOs and Lady Commandos were also present. Ali Saleem divulged that police has to chalk out strategy with intelligence agencies to get rid of terrorism and improve law and order situation in the country and Islamabad Police is effectively fighting these challenges.
He, quoting the examples of Bosnia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, East Timor and Nepal, said that police only cope with law and order situation in the country and other challenges as well. Speaking on the occasion, Kaleem Imam, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad said that Islamabad Police in league with the local community is making all-out efforts and using all available resources to cope with the present day challenges.
