The management of Students Inn (SI) has clarified that claims of the self-styled Students Inn Action Committee (SIAC) are false and baseless allegations. Hazqueel Qadwani bearing NIC No 42301-1054668-5 was appointed as accountant and later promoted to the grade of Finance Head of all campuses in Pakistan.
The coaching centre's owner Saifullah Saifee left for Europe trip with his son Shezar Saifee handing all financial responsibility to the finance incharge. The owner handed over to Qadwani all the signed stamps of all bank accounts to pay salaries to the staff, teachers and other utilities of the campuses. As there was no family member left in the country, Saifee unwillingly put all financial responsibilities on Qadwani's shoulders.
On return, Saifee's son Shezar Saifee launched a fee challan system to centralise the account online to avoid forgery or theft like other developed institutions, but, after the conversion of all accounts into a single account a large number of people started visiting the institute for the amount that we never owed to any of them.
Amazingly, all the complainants have cheques in their hands, duly signed by Saifee, forcing recovery of through psychological pressure and threatening reputational damage to SI as well as the life of his son Shezar Saifee. When probed, it was disclosed that Hazqueel Qadwani had invested some Rs 70 million to Yahya Abdul Sattar, who after defrauding him along with some of his relatives had fled the country. He lodged an FIR against Yahya at Kharadar police station.
As Qadwani started facing pressure from his creditors he started handing them the post dated cheques, signed by Saifee. Among them, many cheques got clearance, but many of them bounced back as the amount in the bank was insufficient for the encashment. Clearance of the looted money of the people from the SI account had caused huge financial losses to the institute as Qadwani emptied all the accounts.
During Saifee's absence, Qadwani had made many contracts, which were now forcing the former to willyy-nilly proceed with the same. The SI has approached the law enforcement agencies, including the police and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to seek protection against the group which wants to take over the well-reputed educational institute or make the SI management pay Rs 100 million which the latter never owed to it. The SI management is also intent to file a lawsuit against Qadwani and the SIAC that is threatening the Saifee family in a bid to take over their 26-year old institute.-PR
