The Government College University Lahore Sustainable Development Study Centre (GCU SDSC) keeping the Lahore's environmental degradation scenario in perspective is going to mark the Earth Day tomorrow (Thursday) with a seminar on 'Resuscitating Ravi: Exploring the Possibilities' at the Bokhari Auditorium.
Secretary Environment Punjab Sajjad Saleem Hotinana will be the Chief Guest at the seminar, which includes presentations by researchers, government officials, NGOs and SDSC members on the topics of 'Ravi: A river of culture and civilisation', 'Sacrificial flesh throwing mentality further deteriorating the aesthetic value of River Ravi', 'Ecological backlash of River Ravi', 'Illegal dumping at Saggian, River Ravi' 'Impact of current status of River Ravi on human health', 'Why citizens of Lahore want GCU to improve condition of River Ravi', 'Loss of Economic Potential of River Ravi' and 'Can the quality of water of River Ravi be made uniform throughout the year'.
