Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has posted Rs 2.323 billion as profit after tax in nine months period ended March 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 2.217 billion earned in the corresponding period last year. The board of directors of APL, in its meeting held on Tuesday declared that the company's per share earning has increased to Rs 40.34 in the period under review against Rs 38.51 in the same period a year back.
On quarterly basis, the company's profit after tax increased to Rs 834.162 million translating earning per share of Rs 14.48 in the quarter ended March 31, 2010 against Rs 749.948 million with per share earning of Rs 13.02 in the same period previous year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's sales increased to Rs 67.096 billion in the nine month period this year against Rs 51.434 billion in the same period last year. The company paid Rs 8.635 billion as sales tax in this period against Rs 6.390 billion paid in the same account in the same period last year.
The company's cost of products sold increased to Rs 56.037 billion in nine month period this year against Rs 42.741 billion in the same period last year. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 3.113 billion in the nine months period in FY10 against Rs 3.029 billion in the same period in FY09.
