Malik Saiful Malook Khokhar has been awarded PML-N ticket to contest PP-180 by-elections to be held on June 24. Malik Saif is the elder brother of sitting PML-N MNA Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar. The PP-180 seat fell vacant after PML-N MPA Rana Mubbashar resigned after allegations of holding a fake graduation degree.
Talking to APP on Saturday, Malik Saiful Malook claimed he had been awarded a ticket by PML-N Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif directly in a meeting on Friday. "No question arises of the final decision by the party committee on the award of ticket since Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif (directly) awarded the ticket to me," he responded to a question. He expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for reposing confidence in him and resolved to work for the cause of the party as well as welfare of people of his constituency.
