Provincial Minister for Finance and Planning and Development, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, has said that a national approach is must for solving the grave challenges faced by the country and discretionary powers of the politicians as well as bureaucrats should be curtailed.
While talking to a delegation of MPAs at his office, the Minister said that it is our practised that we always misuse discretionary powers so all such powers should be withdrawn. The minister further said that currently Pakistan is plunging into the chaos, and we as a nation, have to change our national behaviour keeping the national interest supreme.
He said that our society requires rapid changes and deliverance of government departments should be more effective. He said that we should also learn from the revolutionary development made by China in economic and industrial sector and it is an example for other nations to follow.
He said that we should change the direction of our society and for this purpose; we ought to start from upper class. The minister said that if we want to gain perpetual progress and prosperity, we must annihilate the gulf between haves and have-nots.
