The government has approved the project of Human Resource Development (HRD) for Balochistan by introducing 7 'Matric Tech' schools to produce skilled Labours/Human Resource, who will be sent abroad to procure foreign remittance, Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah said on Wednesday.
The minister said that 'Matric Tech' programme would enhance the technical skills of the students, adding that government was focused on the social and economic uplift of the smaller provinces. Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan was the beginning of a new era of development that would bring the neglected province at par with other areas of the country.
He informed that projects worth Rs 1 billion were underway which were directed toward human resource development. The projects were 'Training of Trainers (TOT), with the cost of Rs 62.707 million through which 770 instructors were being provided training.
Green Man Project (GMP), with the cost of Rs 15,064 million would train 1,800 proper skilled-gardeners. The minister mentioned that Rs 70 million were being used for the construction of Hostel Building at NTB campus and Rs 346.10 million have been allocated for the President Programme Care of Highly Qualified Overseas Pakistanis. -PR
