The Students Alliance Karachi (SAK) organised a protest rally against the ban of pillion riding in the city and demanded to lift the ban for the students, here on Tuesday.
The rally was started from Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology (Abdul Haq Campus), where the students from different universities and colleges gathered to protest against the ban on pillion riding and grant special permission for the students of universities and colleges.
When they reached near CM House, police charged baton to disperse the peaceful rally. The leaders of SAK claimed that the ban on pillion riding was not for the safety of the people but to protect the stakes of transport Mafioso. There is no security for common people as the target killings, mobiles snatching, robberies and cars snatching are at their peak, they maintained.-PR
