Prime Minister for framing rules of promotion according to Supreme Court orders

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed the Secretary, Establishment Division to frame rules for promotion to the post of Secretary (BS-22) in the light of the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan dated 28.04.2010.
While reviewing the progress of implementation of these orders in a meeting with the Secretary Establishment, the Prime Minister advised that rules must ensure fairness and justness of the entire process of promotion.
He further directed that the promotion process be started as early as possible after approval of the rules in consultation with the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) and Ministry of Law and Justice Division. He also stated that there were no favourites and that selections shall be made strictly on merit in accordance with the rules and relevant law.-PR
