Another accused involved in rape held, LHC told

Another accused Razzaq involved in kidnapping and rape of seven minor girls and boys in Daska had been arrested. DPO Sialkot told this to Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) during a suo motu proceedings and added that the accused was arrested on the identification of one of victim girls Mst Fatima.
He said that DNA test of the arrested accused was being conducted to ascertain his involvement in rape of another victim Farwa Zainab. The DPO requested the court to dispose of suo motu proceedings, however, the CJ turned down the plea and directed him to inform the court on May 27 about further investigation in the case.
On last hearing, the court was informed that six accused had already been arrested while efforts were being made for the arrest of the remaining. Chief Justice Khwaja Muhammad Sharif had taken suo motu notice on a news item appearing in an English daily and converted it into a petition under article 199 (1)(c) of the constitution.
