Pir Aftab Shah Jilani here on Thursday took charge of office of Federal Minister for Culture, which was laying vacant. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani made a slight reshuffle in the cabinet with changing the portfolio of Aftab Jilani who was holding the status of Minister for Inter-Provincial Co-ordination earlier.
Pir Aftab was born on November 15, 1946 in Mirpurkhas, Sindh and is politically affiliated with the PPP. Previously he has served as MPA Sindh Assembly from 1977 to 1982, and MNA from 1993 to 1996 and 1997 to 1999. He did his Masters of Science in Agriculture in the year 1972 and works as an agriculturist.
