LAHORE: Pakistan Railways is introducing modern system to protect trains from accidents first time in the 125 years history of the Railways.
PR Spokesman told APP on Sunday that Train Approaching Warning System at all level crossings across the country and Train Collision Avoiding System in locomotives were being installed on experimental basis. He said that five model systems would be installed by the first week of December which would be wireless.
"Sensors will be installed along both sides of the rail at three kilometers of every level crossing which will be operated through solar energy for continuous operation". he informed. "Both Light and Alarm will be attached and record of alarm and videos can be saved for 15 days", told the spokesman.
This system would help in protecting the train from any accident and lives of passengers could be saved.
