US rice futures ended flat on Tuesday as a firm dollar held back potential technical rallies, traders said. Large supplies continued to overhang the market. CBOT July was unchanged at $11.62-1/2 per hundredweight. USDA said 90 percent of the US rice crop had been planted, up from 82 percent a week ago and above the 83 percent five-year average. USDA said 64 percent of the rice crop was in good to excellent condition, up from 58 percent the previous week.
India allows 100,000 tonnes rice exports to Bangladesh.
