The Karachi Port handled 186,212 tonnes of cargo including 130,424 tonnes of import cargo; 55,788 tonnes of export cargo and 7,851 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 130,424 tonnes comprised of 33,090 tonnes of containerised cargo; 14,836 tonnes of general cargo; 30,498 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,975 tonnes of fertiliser; 21,500 tonnes of coal; 4,0223 tonnes of urea and 52,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 55,788 tonnes comprised of 41,977 tonnes of containerised cargo; 192 tonnes of general cargo; 13,619 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,555 tonnes of cement; 5,904 tonnes of bulk cement and 3,160 tonnes of rice. Six ships namely Darya Jaan, Al-Mirqab, APL Dalian, Liberty Pride, Al-Karim-M and Wehr Oste sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eight vessels viz Sea Sky, Wehr Oste, Lucky Carrier, Andre Rickmers, APL Turquoise, Mariner, Strong and Bunga Raya Enam are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Mariner, Strong, APL Turquoise, Busan Express and Bunga Raya Enam expected to sail on Wednesday, while four vessels viz Utopia Ace, COS Cherry, Lucky Carrier and Sea Sky are expected to sail on Thursday.
Six vessels viz Elbrus, Hanjin Duesseldrof, Saigon Express, Kota Akbar, Utopia Ace and Hendiah due to arrive on Wednesday, while eight ships namely Chembulk Network, MT Swat, Greenwich Bridge, Samin-1, Fu Han Kou, Paula, Leopard and Achilles are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 89,127 tonnes of cargo includes 73,534 tonnes of import cargo; 15,593 tonnes of export cargo and 2,581 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 73,534 tonnes includes 27,282 tonnes of furnace oil; 1,430 tonnes of diesel oil; 3,700 tonnes of palm oil; 9,587 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 7,865 tonnes of canola seeds and 23,670 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 15,593 tonnes includes 3,557 tonnes of cement and 12,036 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MT SC Guangzhou, MT Constantinos, MT C Yong, CV MSC Sena and CV Maersk Duisburg sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV Al-Noof and MT Chem Road Rose are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total number of eight vessels viz CV Maersk Duisburg, CV Al-Noof, MV Rose-II, MV Atlantic Action, MV Mandarin Sky, MV Island Green, MT Chem Road Rose and MT Fair Spirit are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Container ship ACX Jasmine is currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two container vessels viz CV ACX Jasmine and CV Ville-De-Orion are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Wednesday. Two container vessels viz CSAV Jura and Dubai Express due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely CV Maersk Naha, CV MSC Jemima and MV BBC Kusan carrying containers and project cargo are due to arrive on Friday. A total number of eight ships namely Diamond Falcon, Chembulk Jakarta, Oriental Oki, Deerah, Al-Salam-II, Quetta, Multan and Princess-K carrying sugar, palm oil, chemicals, diesel oil, furnace oil and rice are also due to arrive.
