People took the streets to protest against the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) on Facebook after the Friday prayers. People in a large number in Karachi Company G-9 Markaz demonstrated against appearance of caricatures of the Holy Prophet on Facebook and denounced the people behind the heinous act.
Demonstrators led by Sunni Tehreek were carrying banners and placards inscribed slogans 'Blasphemy of Holy Prophet not acceptable' and 'We are ready to sacrifice our lives for Holy Prophet.' They were chanting slogans before dispersing peacefully. The angry demonstrators marched round the G-9 Markaz and demanded of the government to take the issue with western countries forcefully to stop its reoccurrence. Islam strictly prohibits the depiction of any prophet and regarded the act blasphemous.
