The Bioequivalence Study Centre (BeSt Centre) of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore has been granted approval by the Ministry of Health, Pakistan. The centre is well equipped with all the high-tech facilities and trained manpower, needed to carryout such studies according to the international standards.
Expressing his views, vice-chancellor UVAS and head of BeSt Center, Dr Muhammad Nawaz said the approval marks milestone in the history of evolution of research and development as well as regulatory process in the pharmaceutical sector of Pakistan.
It also provides solutions to the issues of quality, price and cost effectiveness of the pharmaceuticals manufactured in Pakistan. The approval will pave way for production of cost effective drugs and medicines supplies to our public and private sector health facilities, he added.
