With a view to promoting meaningful dialogue between policymakers and talented youths, the PML-N led Punjab government has set up Chief Minister Punjab Youth Commission. In this connection, the first youth conference is going to be held in the first week of June this year. The moot will be presided over by Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Selection committees have been constituted for the selection of 5 male and female students from each division for membership of Chief Minister Punjab Youth Commission. The CM has constituted eight-member committees at the divisional level, said a notification.
The concerned divisional commissioner will be the convenor of the committee whereas other 7 members of the committee will include MNA/MPA (to be nominated by commissioner in consultation with concerned Deputy Secretary of CM's Secretariat), Vice Chancellor of concerned university, senior most principal (male) of post graduate college at district headquarter, senior most principal (female) of post graduate college at divisional headquarter, representative of youth (to be nominated by Saif Hameed, Co-ordinator of the Youth Conference), representative of leading private educational institution (both male & female) to be nominated by Commissioner in consultation with Saif Hameed, Co-ordinator of the Youth Conference) and Director Colleges.
At the district level, DCO has been nominated as convenor for selection of students for nomination of CM's Youth Commission whereas for each district selection committee, MNA/MPA (to be nominated by DCO in consultation with concerned Deputy Secretary of Chief Minister's Secretariat), Vice Chancellor of concerned university, senior most principal (male) of post graduate college at district headquarter, senior most principal (female) post graduate college at district level, representative of youth (to be nominated by Saif Hameed, Co-ordinator of the Youth Conference), representative of leading private educational institutions (to be nominated by DCO) and District Officer Colleges have been included in the district selection committee.
