Unstoppable Pakistan ready for 4th ODI today | Brecorder.com

Pakistan are all set to face Sri Lanka in second Twenty20 International (T20I) with an aim to wrap up the series today (Friday).

The dominating Sarfraz XI had a comfortable win over inexperience Sri Lankan side as the man in green bowled out the visitors on 102. Pakistan then, went on to chase the total with seven wickets in hand.

With two matches remaining in the series, Sri Lankan side would be eyeing to bounce back, despite their disappointing run in the colour kit.

Pakistan on verge of becoming number one

Since July 8, Sri Lanka have lost all 12 matches in colours kit. Their last victory came against Zimbabwe.

They were out classed by India on their home turf, while they had also suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat against Pakistan in ODIs.

If Pakistan sweep the T20 series against Sri Lanka, ending in Lahore three days later, they will come within a point of first-place New Zealand and could go top if India beat the Black Caps in a three-match series next month.

With only two matches remaining in the series, this is Sri Lanka’s last chance to level the series.

It is pertinent to mention here that, the third and final T20I of the series will be played in Lahore on October 29.
