Free Wi-Fi service to start in Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR: A meeting regarding Punjab Free Wi-fi Project was held at the office of Deputy Commissioner to review the progress of the project.
Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal presided over the meeting. The meeting was told that 12 Wi-Fi hotspots have been selected in Bahawalpur for the project.
This includes Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur, Civil Hospital, Nursing Hospital, Madar-e-Milat Park, Bahawalpur Zoo, Dring Stadium, Gulzar-e-Sadiq, Farid Gate, University Chowk, Ladies Park, One Unit Chowk and Govt Postgraduate College.
Free Wi-Fi service would also be available at government offices, including Commissioner Office, Deputy Commissioner Office, Assistant Commissioner Office and Anti-Corruption Office.
The meeting was told that service would start from November 30. Deputy Commissioner said that the service would provide free access to internet to the public through which they could benefit from latest technology.
