Newbie Faheem Ashraf joins legends with his hat-trick
Newbie all rounder Faheem Ashraf got himself registered in the record books last night, after he became the first Pakistani to score a hat-trick in T20 cricket.
Ashraf achieved the rare feat against Sri Lanka, when he come on to bowl in the 19th over of the innings. After first three balls, Faheem picked his first wicket in the form of Udana, after a slower bouncer pulled by the Lankan was picked by Hasan Ali at short fine-leg.
Udawatte was second to follow as he smashed a wide ball outside off straight to deep cover where Babar Azam took a good running catch.

Batting all rounder Shanaka was last to fall after he was given leg-before wicket, as he tried to slap the ball across the wicket but was struck on the pads.
Faheem now sits with the likes of Pakistan’s bowling legends Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Aaqib Javed and Mohammad Sami, who attained the hat-trick feat in their international career.
Meanwhile, Pakistan would play the third and final match of the T20 series at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
