Karachi Port activities

The Karachi Port handled 142,832 tonnes of cargo including 106,710 tonnes of import cargo; 36,122 tonnes of export cargo and 2,526 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 106,710 tonnes comprised of 23,964 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,240 tonnes of general cargo; 22,905 tonnes of bulk cargo and 57,601 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 36,122 tonnes comprised of 18,323 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,958 tonnes of general cargo; 9,441 tonnes of bulk cargo and 3,400 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels are currently at the berths.
