A delegation of the All Pakistan Flour Mills Association (APFMA) would meet Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Nazar Mohammad Gondal in Islamabad on Monday (today) for an acceptance of their demands to end their indefinite strike, APFMA leader Bilal Sufi apprised Business Recorder on Sunday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the APFMA went on a countrywide strike on Friday against a ban imposed by the Sindh government on allowing wheat from Punjab to its province.
Besides a demand to remove hurdles in the supply of flour to Sindh, the APFMA has also demanded a permission from the authorities to allow them to export the commodity to Afghanistan. Bilal has said that the APFMA is determined to continue its strike till an acceptance of their demands.
