Priyanka Chopra nearly escapes New York terror attack

Eight people were killed and eleven others critically injured as a pickup driver killed eight people in New York's Lower Manhattan on Tuesday. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in New York for work, luckily escaped the accident as it happened only five blocks away from her house.

According to reports, Chopra was spotted filming the third season of her TV show ‘Quantico’ just hours before the attack. She also offered condolence to everyone affected in the tragedy.

On Tuesday, a delivery truck drove onto a bike path in Lower Manhattan, New York, running over cyclists and pedestrians. Eight were killed in the attack and 11 were injured. The track driver also ran into a school bus. The attack was carried out only a few blocks away from the new World Trade Center building, which was the site of the 9/11 attack. The suspect behind the incident has been arrested.
