The Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate No-12 Irshad Hussain on Tuesday granted four days police remand of Farooq Leghari, an officer in Grade-19 to Anti-Corruption Establishment Hyderabad. He was arrested on Monday on charge of misappropriation of funds.
Farooq Leghari, the former District Co-ordination Officer Tando Allahyar was produced before the court here on Tuesday with plea of granting seven days police remand for investigation against the misappropriation of Rs 70 million.
The ACE Inspector Ayoub Patoli informed the court that a case has been registered against Farooq Leghari in Crime No: 4/2010 under sections 409 and 468 PPC, however, the defence lawyers Zaheer Ahmed Leghari advocate and Aslam Pervez advocate said that Farooq Leghari was not arrested on administrative grounds. The Judicial Magistrate No-12 after hearing the case granted four days police remand to Anti-Corruption Establishment Hyderabad.
