The Monsanto Fund, a private foundation and philanthropic arm of Monsanto Company, has provided $50,002 to SOS Children's Villages of Pakistan to fund its orphan youth home project in Multan. This grant provides funds for building an orphan youth home in Multan where boys aged 12 years are moved from orphan homes and are given education and training to enable them to earn livelihood.
The boys in the youth home are cared by a qualified director and their various requirements are met at the children Village. They are made responsible for their personal possessions and the maintenance of their residence. "SOS Villages of Pakistan is pleased to team up with Monsanto Fund to provide facilities for orphan youth and help this extremely needy segment of society. The funding will enable SOS to start a long awaited project and will help the organisation to cater to needs of orphan youth in the area, said," Souraya Anwer, President of SOS Villages of Pakistan.
