Power shortfall has started risen up with rise in mercury in the city, as a total of 1857MW shortfall was recorded during last 24 hours. Citizens faced ordeal like situation accordingly, as schedule load shedding crept in the system and many areas of the city, especially Samanabad, were deprived of the electricity for about six hours.
Power generation was recorded at 14035MW against demand of 15892MW. Generation of power from different sources was recorded as 5310MW through hydel, 2350MW through thermal, 6221MW through IPPs and 54MW through RPPs. Supply to the KESC remained 680MW.
