National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) announced results of 7th Annual Environment Excellence Awards for best performance of 2009-2010 (AEEA), President NFEH M Naeem Qureshi and Chairman Dr Kaiser Waheed announced this during the final meeting of jury & NFEH team held at local club the other day.
Qureshi said the award has been instituted to recognise and promote the organisations, which make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development. They aim to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the country, which help achieve economic and social development without harming the environment and natural resources.

Qureshi said an interactive dialogue on "Environment Management" would also be held prior to the award ceremony. The jury comprises of environment experts including Dr Sami uz Zaman, CEO Global Environment Lab, Shmasul Haq Memon, Consultant Sindh Coastal Authority, Nadeem Arif, CEO Environment management consultants and Afia salam of Lead Pakistan. The award ceremony will be held at local hotel on August 2. Federal Minister for Environment Hameedullah Jan Afridi will be the chief guest on the occasion. Federal Secretary Environment, Sindh Minister for Environment and Alternative Energy Shaikh M Afzal and Administrator CDGK Lala Fazal-ur-Rehman and other dignitaries would also attend ceremony. -PR
