Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) is holding a briefing session for the Punjab Assembly on "The Impact of the 18th constitutional Amendment and the 7th NFC Award on the Federation-Provinces Relations" on Thursday (today).
The main objective of this briefing session is to create a better understanding of the 18th Amendment among the members and the staff of the Punjab Assembly, says a press release issued here on Wednesday. Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan would chair the session and discuss the topics as the impact of the 18th constitutional amendment on the federation-provinces relations and its follow-up challenges, the 7th National Finance Commission Award, its impact on resources sharing and challenges for the future.
Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan will be the chief guest at the briefing session. The speakers at the briefing include Former Federal Minister for Law Senator, S M Zafar, Former Federal Minister for Law, Sartaj Aziz, Former Governor Punjab, Shahid Hamid and Consultant, Noman Ishtiaq.
