A full court reference was held on the premises of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) here on Wednesday on the sad demise of three senior lawyers including Muhammad Muqeem Ansari, Tahir Muhammad Khan and Azizullah Khan Kakar alias Azizullah Mama, Advocates.
Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Qazi Faez Isa presided over the reference, which was attended by Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Tahira Safdar, Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mengal, Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai, senior lawyers and journalists. Addressing on the occasion, the Chief Justice BHC emphasised the need to promote tolerance amongst people.
Remembering the deceased three senior lawyers, he said that each of them was distinguished lawyer. He recalled that Muqeem Ansari was an Islamic scholar who had a deep belief. He was also a teacher in judicial sense. After patrician, he was one of the most capable lawyers who migrated to Pakistan, he added.
He noted that Tahir Muhammad Khan was supporter of the philosophy that a person is first human and later Baloch, Pashtoon, Sunni or Shia. The CJ BHC termed Khan as a liberal progressive person who had a good quality of tolerance. He said that Azizullah Khan Kakar was professionally known as Mama who wrote several Pashto books.
On this occasion, senior lawyers including Deputy Attorney General Malik Sikandar, Vice Chairman Balochistan Bar Council Muhammad Mohsin Javaid, Vice President Supreme Court Bar Association Amanullah Khan Kunrani, President High Court Bar Association Balochistan Hadi Shakeel, President Balochistan Bar Association Baz Muhammad Kakar and Advocate General Balochistan Dr Sullahuddin Mengal read the papers to remember and pay tributes to the deceased senior three lawyers.
The CJ BHC directed Registrar High Court to collects books and others written by the three lawyers so that these could be placed in the Bar library. He also suggested that books written by any Bar member should be part of the Bar library. The Registrar Zaheer-Ud-Din Kakar and Protocol Officer Qamar-Uz-Zaman were also present.
