Federal Minister for Environment, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi asked lined departments to make elaborate arrangements to achieve the targets of monsoon tree plantation campaign and ensure plantation of suitable saplings, which minimise the hazardous effects of carbon and other chemicals emissions. He stated while presiding a meeting of officers of concerned departments and reviewed the pace of progress of monsoon plantation campaign.
The Minister stated that clean environment is the basic necessity of all living organisms and it is religious moral and national obligation of every citizen to plant sapling for future generations at suitable sites, adding that it should be made mandatory for all concerned departments to ensure protection of newly planted saplings.-PR
