Senior journalist Anwar Kamal received wounds when unknown persons ambushed his vehicle near Shahbaz building here late Saturday night. According to police Anwar Kamal, Incharge of a private TV channel in Hyderabad was returning after coverage from Munchar Lake along with other staff members, when some armed persons resorted to sporadic firing near Shahbaz building.
As a result Anwar Kamal and the driver Nasim Ahmed suffered bullet wounds. Both the injured were rushed to Liquat University Hospital City Branch, where their condition was reported to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Rural Development Zubair Ahmed Khan, Media Co-ordinator of Sindh Chief Minister Aftab Ahmed Khanzada, MNA Salahuddin, Administrator Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri, DPO Muneer Ahmed Khan and a large number of working journalists and others rushed to hospital and inquired after his health.
